ANC Youth League calls on EFF to respect our Democratic Order
21 August 2014
The ANC Youth League calls on EFF to respect our democratic institutions, including the National Assembly rules and code of conduct. As the ANC Youth League, we are very much worried by their continued counter-revolutionary manner of participating in the democratic order. We call on EFF to respect South Africa`s democracy and the people of South Africa.
The conduct of EFF`s Members of Parliament is tantamount to disregard of the confidence that people who voted them had on them as individuals and as the organisation. We, as the ANC Youth League, are even ashamed that they were once our members. Their conduct in all legislatures is unthinkable and cannot even match the one that can be displayed by wild animals in a zoo.
The ANC Youth League calls on all South Africans to never again entrust their power of parliamentary representation to chaotic people, like the EFF, who have no interest of developing our country.
Let us continue to celebrate our 20 year old democracy and freedom, we have full belief that the capable hands of the Speaker of Parliament and other office bearers will ensure the reinstatement of order and work environment in parliament.
