ANC Youth League sends its best wishes to all learners for the 2010 Examinations
24 October 2010
The African National Congress Youth League sends its best wishes to all learners who will be writing their examinations from the 25th of October 2010. The ANC Youth League is confident that all learners at all Grades will do well, despite the reduced number of days for schooling in 2010 as a result of the FIFA World Cup and the Teachers strikes. With the help of communities and in some instances structures of the ANC Youth League, most learners were motivated to put extra efforts in their studies.
The ANC Youth League calls on all learners to work harder and ensure that they make progress during the examinations. Those writing the Senior National Certificate examinations should work harder and always know that there are many exit opportunities in South Africa. These include the 23 institutions of higher learning and 50 Further Education and Training colleges across the country. Poor and academically deserving students should also be aware that the National Students` Financial Aid Scheme now extends to FET colleges, and ready to pay fees for students who are in need.
Communities are once again called upon to provide all the necessary support to all learners at all levels to ensure that they do well in 2010 examinations. Disruptive and noisy activities in communities, particularly in townships should come to a complete halt to allow learners to study in a conducive environment. ANC Youth League structures should in all the branches ensure that our communities are noise free for the duration of the examinations.
