ANC Youth League bids an inspirational athlete, Mbulaeni Mulaudzi, farewell

24 October 2014

The ANC Youth League bids the World Champion, Mbulaeni Mulaudzi, farewell. We are saddened by the passing-on of this All Africa Games and World Championships star. He has been our country`s literal flag-bearer in 2004 Summer Olympics in Greece and our symbolically flag-bearer in all the international engagements he has ever participated in.

We will always be proud of him and his name shall forever be that of a national hero from humble beginnings and walks. One of the greatest South African Middle Distance Runners and 2009 World Champion in Men`s 800 Metres. Mbulaeni Mulaudzi has been an exemplary, disciplined and humble rising star of our sporting fraternity. At 34, he had already demonstrated that he was destined for bigger achievements in life. He left us too soon. May His Soul Rest in Peace.

As the ANC Youth League, we pass our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and sporting colleagues. We shall forever tell of his achievements and shall ensure that his names live forever. He was an inspirational athlete.
